Built in 1873 to be the home of the Acton Civill Polytechnic Institute in Coeymans, NY. That private school never opened and in 1874 the building served as a public school, the town offices/civic center, later a total of 28 modern senior apartments were converted from the structure’s classrooms, attic and gymnasium.
